yahoo and intel reported theirs after the close yesterday. and both had some issues. yahoo did top on earnings. its profit was up 36% to $390 million. however, its revenue did miss at $1.07 billion down from a year earlier and particularly worrisome, display advertising revenue fell 11% from a year earlier. it was double the drop that they saw in the prior quarter. as far as the world's biggest chipmaker intel goes, it was fairly close in profit and revenue of $2 billion and $12.6 billion. but the pc slump is really impacting the company. it says its revenue in the current quarter could fall by as much as 8% but it's sticking to its guidance for the full year of revenue gaining in the single load digits. the stock is falling this morning with most other companies out there. bank of america also weighing on the market with its earnings miss. right now, the dow dropping 91 points in the early going. nasdaq falling by 29. s&p down by 12. shares in yahoo are flat at the moment. intel down over 1%. apple having a rough go in the early going. its shares are down 2.25%. spec
